Child Ryan..and artificial intelligence propaganda
The progress that has entered the field of surgery, which is my specialty,
is almost entirely related to the technological development in the field of
endoscopy, robotics and artificial intelligence.
This progress, for example, has reduced the sizes of the surgical
incisions that we incise in patients' bodies in order to reach the diseased
internal organs.. This reduction in the sizes of the incisions has reached
in some surgeries to a tenth (10%), for example, the length of the incision
needed to remove the gallbladder was about 20 cm in conventional surgery,
while this incision was reduced to 2 cm in laparoscopic surgery.
This reduction in the size of the incisions simply means that it is now
possible to perform complex surgeries through a narrow opening.
The case of the child Rayan, who fell into a well about 30 meters deep in
the Maghreb, and who has not yet been rescued despite the strenuous
attempts over the past five days.. This incident raises questions and even
doubts about the credibility of what is being reported about the tremendous
progress in robotics and artificial intelligence technology.
Is it difficult to send a robot with a capsule of hard glass to contain
the child and then take him out as quickly as possible before his body
weakens due to wounds and the absence of food and warmth ..
Or is what is being reported about the tremendous progress in robotics and
artificial intelligence technology just a lie that is intended to be
marketed in order to intimidate peoples from their enemies..
The case of the child Rayan should not pass like this without thinking and
regardless of what the results will lead to.. We ask Allah swt for his
safety and wellness.
Reflecting on Ryan's case, we should focus on one question only, which is
the credibility of scientific publications not only in the field of
robotics and artificial intelligence, but also in the medical and
engineering fields.
